In honor of the 2008 Asian Pacific American Heritage Month,I am pleased to extend my best wishes and warmest greetings to everyone attending the 10th Annual Congressional Reception and Special Recognition Ceremony. My congratulations to the recipients for their hard and important work they are doing for Asian American community in the State of Illinois.
We can all take pride in the enormous progress and many positive contributions that the Asian American community has made in the Arts, Business, Education, Medicine, technology and Sciences in the United States. I am extremely honored to have this opportunity to acknowledge your many achievements. I also like to commend the members of my Advisory Council on Asian Affairs for their success in organizing this event, which highlights the diversity of the Asian American community.
