เมื่อวันที่ 14 มิถุนายน 2552 นายประสิทธิ์ ปัทมผดุงศักดิ์ เจ้าของเวบไซท์ ThaiNewYork.com เข้ารับปริญญาธุรกิจมหาบัณฑิต (MBA) จากมหาวิทยาลัย University of Chicago Booth School of Business โดยเน้นศึกษาในด้านการวิเคราะห์การเงินและการบริหาร

ในระหว่างการศึกษา นายประสิทธิ์ ได้ร่วมกิจกรรมของมหาวิทยาลัยมากมาย อาทิ เป็นประธานชมรมการบริหารการลงทุน เป็นพี่เลี้ยงให้กับนักศึกษาใหม่ เป็นคณะกรรมการคัดเลือกผู้เข้าศึกษาต่อ ซึ่งจะอ่านใบสมัครและสัมภาษณ์ผู้สมัครเข้าเรียน เป็นต้น หลังสำเร็จการศึกษา นายประสิทธิ์มีโครงการจะเข้าร่วมทำงานกับบริษัทจัดการกองทุนใน Wall Street นิวยอร์ก ซึ่งเป็นศูนย์กลางการเงินระดับโลก และจะนำประสบการณ์กลับไปใช้ที่ประเทศไทยต่อไป


นายประสิทธิ์ได้สำเร็จการศึกษาระดับปริญญาตรีจากมหาวิทยาลัยมหิดลสาขาวิทยา การคอมพิวเตอร์เกียรตินิยมอันดับ 1 และร่วมทำงานกับบริษัทที่ปรึกษา PricewaterhouseCoopers ประเทศไทย บริษัท Hewlett-Packard ประเทศสิงคโปร์ บริษัท Siti-Sites รัฐนิวยอร์ก ประเทศสหรัฐอเมริกา และเปิดบริษัทที่ปรึกษาด้าน Information Technology (IT) ในรัฐนิวยอร์ก และได้ร่วมทำการช่วยเหลือสังคม ทั้งในรัฐนิวยอร์กและประเทศไทย เช่น จัดทำเวบข่าว ThaiNewYork.com เป็นประธานจัดงาน “ธารน้ำใจ ต้านภัยเอดส์” และนำเงินบริจาคประมาณ 30,000 เหรียญไปช่วยเหลือ “วัดพระบาทน้ำพุ” จ.ลพบุรี สนับสนุนประชาสัมพันธ์ให้กับราชการ สมาคม ชมรมต่างๆ ในรัฐนิวยอร์ก เข้าร่วมโครงการ Medical Mission ของสมาคมแพทย์ไทยแห่งสหรัฐอเมริกา (TPAA) และได้เดินทางไปจ.นครพนมพร้อมคณะแพทย์และพยาบาลไทย โดยโครงการนี้เป็นโครงการที่ให้การตรวจ รักษา และผ่าตัดฟรีให้กับคนไทยด้อยโอกาสในถิ่นทุรกันดาร


นพ.ภุชงค์ ศรีเศรษฐนิลและภรรยา จากรัฐนิวเจอร์ซีย์ ได้เดินทางมาร่วมแสดงความยินดี พร้อมกับเพื่อนๆ จากนิวยอร์ก นิวเจอร์ซีย์ ชิคาโก้ และผู้สื่อข่าวจากรัฐต่างๆ เช่น เอมี่ ฮานา เจ้าของเวบไซท์ ThaiChicagoland.com, กิตติณัฎฐ์ แสงศรี เจ้าของเวบไซท์ KonThaiUSA.com, วิชัช ฤทธิเดช จาก ThaiTownUSA.com และภาสินี ศากยวงศ์ ผู้สื่อข่าวอาวุโสจากนสพ.ชาวกรุงUSA, ThaiNewYork และ KonThaiUSA
